Goals for 2009

I've never been one to make a lot of New Years Resolutions. But hey, what the heck... we'll give it a shot.

~Lose 10 more pounds (actually I'd like to do this by June, we'll see how it goes).

~Continue to go to the gym at least 4 times a week.

~Read at least 50 books throughout the year. (Anyone have any suggestions, I'd love some!)

~Attend the temple more regularly.

~Complain less, yell less, be more patient with the kids. Be a more positive person!

~Have more date nights with Michael.

I could probably go on and on... so many things I'd like to change and do differently. I suppose I'll be a work in progress. Here's to 2009!

He can walk!

Saturday we left the kids with my parents and went to the temple. When we went to pick them up my mom mentioned that Ashton was walking all over the place. Michael and I looked at each other and said, "huh?" He had been walking along furniture up till this point but that was it. She said that he had walked across the room. I'm with the kid pretty much 24/7 and he waits till he is away from me to walk for the first time. Here are a couple of picture of him on the move.

Jesus wants me for a Sunbeam to shine for him each day.

Today was Sydney's first day as a Sunbeam. She didn't even cry at all, which was a pleasant surprise. She loves her teacher. Her favorite part was singing time!

I am a nice shark, not a mindless eating machine. If I am to change this image, I must first change myself. Fish are friends, not food.

Saturday we decided to take a trip up to Denver and took the kids to the Aquarium. The kids had a blast. Last time we took them Ashton was too little to really know what was going on. This time he got so excited watching all the fish. It was really fun.

Sydney was of course scared of the shark.

Ashton on the other hand went head first into the shark's mouth.
